Hi, I’m Kate.

I am a registered and experienced counsellor, university teacher and mother of two. I am passionate about supporting women and mothers through the changes and challenges that life brings.

I have worked in community work and therapy for ten years, with a focus on families and mental wellbeing. I work across Canberra and the surrounds through individual therapy, group work and women’s circles.

I believe that the connection that happens in counselling can be life-changing. Meeting you where you are at, we can then plan where you want to go and how you will get there, together.

Making meaningful change in your life is not about ‘hustling harder’ or positive mindset. It is often about exploring parts of yourself that are waiting to be illuminated and understood. It is beautiful and worthwhile work that will allow you to show up as the person that you want to be.

In our sessions, I will work from an integrative approach to counselling; drawing from the modalities which most align with each individual client and their goals. I am guided by my study and experience in person centred counselling, attachment theory and trauma informed practices. Weaving together techniques from mindfulness, internal family systems and strength-based therapies.

If you would like to know more about me, my experience, qualifications or my approach, please reach out via email. I’d love to hear from you.
